I'm Brett, the owner of Aptus Plumbing & Gas...
In 2013 I took a leap of faith and started my own plumbing business...
It was a wild ride, but I nailed my 3-year plan in the first 12 months!

I started my business based on some simple old-fashioned principles...
Communicate well to people...
Do a good job...
Don't rip people off...

However, if I could sum up the essence of why we do what we do...
It's to give people a level of service they deserve but not expect from a trade company.
I am super passionate about this...

As an employee I saw other businesses were working to a different philosophy.
Service wasn't the focus...
Client relationships weren't the focus...
Growing and developing employees wasn't the focus...

It was all about just 'getting by'...
In the same old way everyone else had done for years.
But I saw there was a different way to do plumbing.

I had a vision of creating a business that was service focused...
Where we built lasting relationships with our clients...
And where team member was better from having worked with us.

At Aptus it's more than just a job...

You become part of a team with the scope to grow, develop and improve yourself...
Right now, we are looking for a leader...
A person to come and manage the administrative side of the business...
It's a critical role in the success of our business...
It's a role we need because of the success of our business!

The leader we seek has:

Organisation (can put stuff in piles and keep it there)
Communication (knows how to get a message across to all audiences)
Discernment (the ability to make sound decisions)

And not to mention pride in a job well done!
(Of course as a leader you would have known that!).

The leader we need will have or develop the skills to be across:

Managing our office team

Understanding and assisting invoicing and accounts
Understanding effective scheduling
Understanding efficient quoting and estimating processes
Customer service enquiries

Maybe you have worked in a trade services business before...
Or maybe some of these things will be new for you...
(What won't be new is a track record of success in managing a team to achieve
administrative success!)
