I can turn off the water
The water is not turned off at the mains but I can see where that can be done and I can do it. That will stop the water flowing and stop damaging the place and / or my stuff.
- Proceed to turn off water supply at meter isolation or Hot Water System system (if hot water). Notes: House/Townhouse - Water meter is generally out on the street in a black box in the ground. Turing the valve clockwise will isolate) Unit - Look for isolation valves under cabinets (Laundry, kitchen, Basins). They can also be located in the common hallways and common areas to the units.
